And so it goes….

Christmas was not a complete disaster.  Melissa had a great time opening her presents.  Daniel had a great time just running around the house and playing with is old toys.  I guess we should have wrapped up the stuff they already had and just regifted it to them…..

The hubby and I were at least civil to each other, although, I think if it weren’t for the kids, I would have skipped Christmas altogether.

We are just fighting about everything these days.  He follows me from room to room when he is home and it is really like having a third (albeit nosey) child.  He constantly questions where I am going (to the bathroom, dear), what I am doing (going to the bathroom, dear), who are you talking to (to the toilet, dear).  He is back in the mode where he thinks that I am “up to something” because I seem distant.  I seem distant because I feel like I live with a roommate, rather than a husband.  We have nothing left to talk about anymore except the kids.  This is because he has kept me so isolated from my friends that it is actually a stretch to call them real friends anymore.  I am miserable when he is around.  And to top it off, last month, you know….when you are Christmas shopping, we end up having to support his 30 year old daughter who has been diagnosed as bipolar to the tune of $600……$600 that we didn’t really have to spend….and then end up getting nasty-grams on facebook from his ex-wife about how hubby is not stepping up as a father, blah blah blah……..what a liar he is………how he is a raging alcoholic………blah blah blah……you know….the kind of crap I NEED to deal with.

SHE IS 30 YEARS OLD AND ON SSI…….SHE IS ON DISABILITY…..THE EX-WIFE CAME TO MY HOUSE IN A BRAND NEW SUV…..AND SHE WANTS MONEY FROM US?  DREAM ON, CUPCAKE!

Anyhoo!

I got a new digital SLR for Christmas, a new laptop from my Grandmother, and a new Droid phone from my mom and dad……I made out like a technophile bandit…..

but all I really wanted for Christmas was to be somewhere else.

sad, isn’t it?

Apple’s MacBook Review:

This is Apple’s lower-end laptop, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work like a charm. The MacBook now shares a significant amount of specs with the new 13 inch MacBook Pro. It comes with a 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and the Nvidia 9400M integrated graphics processor that you’ll find on the 13 inch MacBook Pro. Basically, both your gaming and media capabilities are essentially the same.
