5 Ways to Extend Laptop Battery Life

The Laptop has been one of the most useful gadgets I have ever bought. We need a laptop for many different reasons but there is one reason that make the laptop essential, portability. Business men, students, clerks and lawyers use the laptop because of it portability. It has its draw backs but never the less it has been a great tool for the modern day society . Today I’ll be giving you some tips on how to save your laptop battery.

Turn Down the Brightness

This is by far the easiest way to save your battery. You don’t need a bright screen unless you are watching a movie. Even if you are watching a movie turn the brightness down a bit. Keep in mind that a bigger screen will lead to more power usage.

Do Not Plug In External Devices:

By devices I mean USBs, Webcams, External HDD and Mouse. These devices will use your Laptops battery, like it or not try to lessen the use of these external devices

Avoid Using the Internet 

This one is by far the hardest one for me, I’m a man that uses the internet daily and almost never disconnect from it, but this sacrifice will save a lot of battery. Internet also includes Bluetooth. Use your phone for internet services, if your phone supports it.

Change the Battery Settings

In your power options there’s a setting which let you change the Power settings. You will be able to use Power Saving settings, Performance settings or Balanced settings, you can even add your own custom settings to fit your usage.

Buy Extra Batteries or Charger

This is one is more of a bonus, this path is not cheap and it will cost you a bit, but hey? At least you can have 4 more hours to use your Laptop or if you buy a charger you can use it as long as you want! So there it is five different ways to extend a laptops battery life, keep in mind though how you use the laptop will also affect the battery life for example video editing, this will eat a lot of your battery so use it for a short amount of time only(unless you really want to use till the battery dies).
